An unintentional joke about Aliens (the movie) I tell dad jokes so often, I guess they're ingrained in me. I'll make them even if I don't intend it. Like in the following case. I realize not everyone will get the reference, but I still thought it was funny. Some time ago, I bought one of those little blind box toys, featuring characters from the movie Aliens. Being a blind box, I obviously had no idea which character I got until I opened it. When I finally did, I was asked by a family member, "Well, who'd you get?" And, without even realizing just what I was saying, I blurted out, "Ripley... believe it or not."
