Pavarti and Padma Patil Harry Potter's friends at Hogwarts are identical twins. Pavarti was in Gryffendor and grew up to be an upstanding citizen, a model of law abiding responsibility. Padma, a Ravenclaw, had a darker fate. She became enthralled with the dark arts and was insatiably greedy, committing many spectacular heists and causing the Wizenmagot no end of trouble. She cleverly used her sister as an alibi and even when she was caught red-handed she frequently was released because witnesses could not identify her in a lineup.
