My longer than a year ongoing dad joke has now come to an end So i have been getting on my wife's nerves for a year and a few months with this one. When she is cooking anything, whether it be breakfast or lunch, doesn't matter, our daughter wanted to be on her arm to see what is going on. And guys, LITERALLY every time when she had too much on her stove and something would start burning or water boiling over the edge she would start screaming "QUICKLY, GRAB HER!" And here i was standing next to her and grabbing my daughter for like an arm or a leg (or something that i would hold on to her but she would still have to carry her so it was practically useless manoeuvre) and I did that every. single. time. No amount of rusty door hinges would squeak as loud as her eyes rolling to the back of her head. And now my friends... our baby is walking and standing on her own so when she needs both arms she just puts her down on the floor... And this is the day that i retire my joke that has cost so so many nerves... Sad, sad day...
