Back in the old days, there were entire businesses that just sold flower stems. Nowadays, it sounds strange, but these shops were important contributors to society because the stems served a dual purpose. They could be used either for cooking or for disciplining your children. Unfortunately, most of these businesses fell victim to the stalk market crash of 1929.
