An old Jewish man becomes a widower shortly after retiring. As he's now wifeless he realizes he can now decorate the house the way he wanted. So he takes everything off the walls in the house's main hallway and replaces them with framed receipts for all the major and not so major purchases he's made throughout the years. Time passes and he has to be moved to a nursing home, but before he goes he takes a picture of the hallway. One day he's looking at the picture while a nurse comes in and she asks him why he has a picture of a hallway of framed receipts to which he replies: "So I never forget the hall o' cost".
